RE/MAX Advance Realty (RMA) has been a longtime supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and recently, broker/owner Anthony Askowitz took that dedication to new heights. Over a six-day trek, Askowitz climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, asking friends and family to support him on his journey by making donations to Miami Children’s Health Foundation, benefiting Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. To date, Askowitz has raised nearly $2,000 with this incredible initiative.
“I have been blessed with good health and opportunity, making this climb through challenging terrain and wavering temperatures possible,” said Askowitz. “Many children in our community are not so fortunate, and their courage inspired me to not only raise these funds, but to keep climbing even when things got difficult on the journey.”
“Anthony’s passion for helping children in our community goes beyond leading the largest RE/MAX office in our community,” said Maria Moldes, Senior Director, Programs & Community Relations at MCH Foundation. “He always keeps Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals top of mind with his creative fundraising efforts, including his annual online auction, his cufflinks sales, his yearly involvement with our MCHF5K walk, and his latest adventure, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro! Anthony, thank you for making miracles happen for over 20 years!”
Since 2009, all RMA agents have contributed a portion of each transaction to support CMN Hospitals, generating more than $100,000 in commissions to help fund life-saving treatments, advanced medical equipment, and valuable research and education at the hospital. Earlier this year, RMA hosted its first annual auction to benefit the hospital, providing it with an additional $3,500 for operations, equipment, research, and technology.
